Middletown
By Will Eno, Pultizer Prize Finalist
Directed by Artistic Director, Brian Katz
NOW EXTENDED UNTIL APRIL 30th!
From the author of Broadway’s”The Realistic Joneses” (now playing at ACT) and “Thom Pain (based on nothing”), Will Eno’s take on “Our Town” follows the lives of the inhabitants of Middletown as they intersect in strange and poignant ways, in a journey that takes them from the local library to outer space and points between.
Newly arrived in town, Mary Swanson is trying to start a family, but her husband is no where to be found. While adjusting to her new life, she meets Middletonians of all sorts, but connects most of all with John Dodge, a quiet and compassionate man whose secrets will disrupt the peace and quiet of this average, American town.
An absurdist with a modern sensibility, the NY Times has called Eno “a Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation.”

A modern day "Our Town"
Middletown. Population: stable; Elevation: same. The main street is called Main Street. The side streets are named after trees. Things are fairly predictable. People come, people go. Crying, by the way, in both directions.
